<video:title>Injustice In Search of Exoneration</video:title>
<video:description>The Douglas Espino Story – Injustice in Search of Exoneration. Los Angeles is known as the “Gang Capital of America”. Over 39,000 gang members commit an estimated 7,000 violent crimes annually. Once, gang members used chains and knives to commit crimes. Now they use shotguns, automatic rifles, handguns and explosives. Once, victims of gang violence were rival gang members. Now the victims are often innocent bystanders and residents killed or injured by stray bullets . . . or people charged with crimes they did not commit. Certain gang-infested neighborhoods are also frighteningly similar to war zones. And in one of those LA neighborhoods, near Pico & Union Streets, on a typical Saturday night on June 7, 2008, a “non-gang member” named Douglas Espino became a “victim” of gangland violence and terror that threatens to change his life forever. Douglas was convicted on March 13, 2009 on 7 counts of attempted murder. He faces a life sentence in prison – for crimes he did not commit! He is innocent . . . and he’s a victim of LA’s gangs and the criminal justice system. This Insider Exclusive Special raises questions and issues about the breakdown in the criminal justice system for Douglas Espino, including:/n1. How eyewitnesses live in fear for the lives, but now come forward to try and exonerate Douglas. 2. How an overzealous prosecutor appears willing to win a conviction at any cost. 3. Why the LAPD has failed to look for the real shooter. 4. And how the Espino family claims that Douglas’ defense attorney failed to provide an adequate defense. This is Douglas Espino’s true story, as told through the eyes and words of his family, his friends and key eyewitnesses whose lives are “threatened” by LA’s most notorious gangs, but despite these real dangers, want to see justice done. Douglas can’t be with us today. He’s currently incarcerated in the LA County Jail, awaiting sentencing on June 25, 2009. Joining us to discuss his wrongful conviction are Charlene Rosen-Espino, Douglas’...</video:description>

<video:description>Murdered by Mumia: A Life Sentence of Loss, Pain, and Injustice. Maureen Faulkner, the widow of slain Philadelphia police officer Danny Faulkner, is featured in an exciting, exclusive, in-depth and inside interview, discussing her new book/nMurdered by Mumia: A Life Sentence of Loss, Pain, and Injustice. Maureen's husband was shot between the eyes on a cold December night in 1981. Mumia Abu-Jamal was unanimously convicted of the crime by a racially mixed jury based on: the testimony of several eyewitnesses, his ownership of the murder weapon, matching ballistics, and Abu-Jamal's own confession. After his conviction, however, a national anti-death penalty movement was started to "Free Mumia;" Mike Farrell, Ed Asner, Whoopi Goldberg, and Jesse Jackson rallied on his behalf, and led the charge. For his part, while on death row, Abu-Jamal published several books, delivered radio commentaries, was a college commencement speaker, found himself named an Honorary Citizen of France, and had his defense coffers enhanced by ticket sales from a sold out (16,000-person) concert featuring Rage Against the Machine. Now, with this interview Maureen carefully and definitively lays out the case against Abu-Jamal, and those who've elevated him to the status of political prisoner. As Abu-Jamal's lawyers contemplate their final appeal, Faulkner weaves a compelling, never-before-told account of one fateful night and the 25-year-long rewriting of history. She offers a vivid story that demands our attention and the pursuit of justice for her late husband./nYou can learn more about Maureen Faulkner at http://www.murderedbymumia.com</video:description>

<video:title>Justice for Women Stalked in the Workplace and Retaliation b</video:title>
<video:description>Washington, D.C. - Martin v. Howard University and Alice Gresham Bullock, U.S. Supreme Court No. 08-204./nIn 1997, Howard University Law Professor Dawn Martin was stalked on campus by a delusional serial stalker, Leonard Harrison. Despite instructions to Howard University from the Washington D.C. Police Department to implement and improve its campus security, Howard failed to take action, and instead, punished Professor Martin by refusing to renew her teaching contract. The story you are about to watch is the true story of Dawn Martin's 11-year Journey for Justice for her and all women who are stalked in the workplace. The National Organization for Women and The National Association of Women Lawyers join her cause./nWhen Prof. Martin was stalked by Leonard Harrison, he was searching for the physical embodiment of his "fantasy" wife -- a fictional female character in a book, written by the renowned civil rights Professor, Derrick Bell. Instead of following its own security procedures to ban Harrison from campus, Howard responded to Prof. Martin's requests for protection by refusing to renew her teaching contract. She sued Howard, under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination and harassment, on the basis of sex/gender. Prof. Martin alleged that Howard permitted the stalker to harass her on the basis of her gender in her workplace. 78% of stalking victims are women. 54% of female murder victims reported their stalkers to the police before being killed by them. Prof. Martin further alleged that Howard retaliated against her by refusing to renew her teaching contract because she asked for protection from Harrison on campus./nYou can contact Ms. Martin at 202-408-7040, or http://www.dvmartinlaw.com/n"For updates on this case, see www.dvmartinlaw/MartinvHowardU and http://alexisamoore.blogspot.com/."</video:description>

<video:title>Hawthorne Police Dept. Alleged Police Misconduct</video:title>
<video:description>The Law Office of Gary S. Casselman is featured in an exciting, exclusive, in-depth and inside interview, discussing/nCivil Rights Litigation. Gary discusses alleged police brutality and alleged misconduct by the Hawthorne, California, and Manhattan Beach, California, police. Joining Gary is Scott Tierney, who alleges he suffered serious personal injuries during a booking process with the Hawthorne police. In this powerful interview, Gary and Scott provide riveting testimony about a series of allegedly grave actions by the police and the need to educate the public about these shocking details. Gary further addresses the broader problem of police misconduct and its threat to public safety and community trust. Police misconduct also includes accepting bribes, improper search and seizure, harassment and racism in law enforcement. Police misconduct violates the oath of peace officers and their responsibilities as public servants. Victims of police misconduct can be wrongfully convicted of crimes, lose property and freedom, and face social stigmatization. Police misconduct also creates distrust between police and the public they are meant to protect. Police misconduct often goes uncorrected because people do not understand their rights as citizens. Prevention of police misconduct by an informed public can avert violence, wrongful convictions, and abuse of authority. In general, police misconduct is the exception - most police officers are law-abiding citizens, but when police misconduct does occur, police departments can fail to address the problem in the appropriate manner.</video:description>

<video:description>The Law Office of Bernard & Bernard is featured in an exciting, exclusive, in-depth and inside interview, discussing/nHeadline Civil Rights News: Matthew Fleuret v. Orange County Sheriff's Department et al. Matthew Fleuret's attorneys, Stephen Bernard and David Brown, say he was arrested two years ago on suspicion of obstructing a deputy after a bar fight in San Clemente, California. And they allege that video footage shows deputies took Fleuret's pants off and used a stun gun on him, even though he was handcuffed and, at one point, strapped to a chair. Flueret alleges he was tased at least 11 times. The video also appears to show a deputy slamming Fleuret in the head as he sat on a bench in the jail. The video was released as part of the discovery process in Fleuret's lawsuit. It comes a few months after a drunken homeless man died after being tased in the Orange County jail. Stephen Bernard joined his father, Saul J. Bernard, at the Bernard Law practice after attending the University of Southern California and Southwestern University School of Law. As lead counsel he has guided the firm to the forefront of class action, civil litigation, and criminal defense. <video:title>The IRS vs. Robert Kahre</video:title>
<video:description>Headline Legal News: The Law Office of William A. Cohan is featured in an exciting, exclusive, in-depth and inside interview, discussing the case of Robert Kahre. Informally called the Kahre case -- after the primary defendant, business owner Robert Kahre, who paid workers in gold and silver coins -- the trial relied heavily on evidence gathered in a controversial armed raid in May 2003 on several of Kahre's local business places. The raid entailed keeping more than 20 workers handcuffed, in 106-degree heat without shade or water while agents collected records and equipment, which Kahre described in this interview with great detail. The trial resulted in zero convictions on 161 charges faced by nine defendants, a major win for William Cohan and Robert Kahre. William A. Cohan has litigated in federal trial and appeals courts throughout the United States for the last 30 years. He has obtained more acquittals in criminal tax cases than any attorney practicing in the United States over the last 30 years (including 2 cases involving more than $10 million), secured several multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements for plaintiffs, and successfully defended against several multi-million dollar civil claims and forfeitures. The other twenty-five percent of his cases involve business disputes between individuals and non-governmental entities: he defends individuals, corporations, trusts, LLP's, LLC's, and partnerships in controversies concerning real estate, securities, business acquisitions, employment, banking and insurance. One essential element in William's success over the last 30 years is and always has been investigating and discovering the larger context of a case. You can contact William A. <video:title>The William L. Britt Tribute</video:title>
<video:description>This is the true story of Will Britt, a gifted college student, athlete, son, and local Santa Cruz, California, hero, whose heroic actions helped capture some dangerous criminals. For protective measures Will transferred from UC Santa Cruz to UCLA, where he quickly acclimated into his new life, joining a fraternity and meeting many new friends. Less than 2 years later, in September 2004, Will's world turned upside down, when he was falsely accused of sexual assault by a UCLA coed. Despite the fact that the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office refused to prosecute this false accusation, the UCLA Administrators continued to hold sham disciplinary hearings persecuting Will until it drove him to withdraw from school and return home to Sacramento, CA. Several months later, in April 2005, Will suffered a severe nervous breakdown from the continuing stress of persecution by UCLA Administrators, who stood in the way of his re-enrolling at UCLA to finish up his degree. Tragically, his dream would never be fulfilled because several days later, on April 28, 2005, Will was killed in a freak auto accident. <video:title>FELA & the $48 Million Jury Verdict</video:title>
<video:description>On July 7, 2007, Eric Doi, a Union Pacific Railroad Co. (UP) employee, was severely injured in a tragic vehicular accident, rendering him a C-4 Quadriplegic. UP denied liability, alleging at the time of the event Doi was not in the "course & scope" of their employment and was using the UP company truck for personal reasons during off-hours. This case centered on the definition of "What is the 'course & scope' of employment" under FELA, The Federal Employers' Liability Act. The jury, after weighing all the evidence, believed Eric Doi's attorneys, Don Britt and John Gilbert of The Crow Law Firm. Eric Doi was awarded over $48 million, what is believed to be the largest verdict for a single injured individual in the 100 year history of FELA. This is the story of how The Crow Law Firm sought and got justice for Eric Doi. You can contact Don Britt and John Gilbert at 916-441-2980, or http://www.crowlaw.com</video:description>

<video:title>Justice Denied - The James Stevens Story.</video:title>
<video:description>Today, we examine the unjust legal quagmire of the case of James Stevens (an African American), who won an $18.4 million dollar judgment in Oct. 2006 after he sued his former employer, the supermarket chain and Fortune 500 company, Vons, for sexual harassment and retaliation. The Law Offices of Allred, Maroko & Goldberg and the Law Offices of Davis & Gavsie, PLC, helped James secure this important judgment against his harasser who was also his supervisor (a Caucasian woman). Her lewd sexual innuendos and overtures made the work environment intolerable for James. As a result of the conduct he endured at Vons and the stresses of the litigation that followed, James suffered tremendous losses. At one point, he considered suicide. Unfortunately, the trial court judge reduced his combined verdict to $2.4 million. The judge gave James a choice--either accept the reduction or have a completely new trial on the damages. James opted to accept the reduction while maintaining his right to appeal the judge's reduction. An appellate court in California upheld the reduction of the jury verdict. The California Supreme Court declined to hear his appeal of that decision and he is now appealing his case to the U.S. Supreme Court. Joining James is Areva Martin, the attorney currently managing his appeal, and Malik Ali, Vice Chairman of Justice Inc., a non-profit organization founded to help others avoid the injustices James faced.</video:description>

<video:title>Gloria Allred & Nathan Goldberg: James Stevens v. VONS</video:title>
<video:description>The Law Offices of Allred, Maroko & Goldberg and the Law Offices of Davis & Gavsie, PLC. are featured in an exciting, exclusive, in-depth and inside interview, discussing Headline Legal News: James Stevens v. VONS. Nathan Goldberg and Roxanne Davis, both of whom represent Mr. Stevens, discuss his case against Vons supermarkets. Joining them is Mike Lief, who served as the jury foreman in the trial James brought against Vons. James was employed by Vons for 26 years as an Inventory Control Clerk. After complaining to management about ongoing sexual harassment by a female supervisor, he was transferred to a less desirable store. Mr. Stevens filed a complaint with the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH). Vons allegedly lied to the DFEH, and the DFEH closed its file. The company then allegedly falsely accused Mr. Stevens of donating water and soda to a church that fed the homeless and fired him. On October 27, 2006, after a 6-week trial, the jury in Simi Valley awarded Mr. Stevens $1.67 million in compensatory damages and over $16 million in punitive damages. The case has been appealed by Vons. Roxanne A. Davis has been practicing in Los Angeles, California, specializing in labor and employment law, for over 17 years. She obtained her B.A. from New York University with honors. She received her J.D. from the University of Southern California Law Center and M.A. in International Relations from the University of Southern California. Roxanne is admitted to practice law in state and federal California courts. She spent 5 years of her career working as an attorney with one of the largest labor and employment law firms in the country representing management, Jackson, Lewis, Schnitzler & Krupman. Over 13 years ago, she established her own practice in which she represents individuals and employers, in matters involving wrongful termination, discrimination and sexual harassment, among other issues. The varied demands of her practice include litigating claims of wrongful discharge, unlawful harassment,...</video:description>

<video:title>Trailer Truck Accidents.</video:title>
<video:description>On June 13, 2006, Elizabeth Libby Kellum, a 22-year-old Austin College graduate, was driving on U.S. Highway 75 when she was recklessly run over by an 80,000 lb. tractor-trailer driven by an unqualified driver. Libby miraculously survived. This is her story from near death to her amazing medical recovery and how her lawyers, Joel Fineberg and Dean Gresham, took on Big Business and their insurance companies to fight for her justice in the case of Kellum v. Allied Van Lines et al. When Libby took evasive action to avoid a collision with a tractor-trailer that swerved into her lane, she was struck by another tractor-trailer. The collision left her on the brink of death. As a result of the accident, she now suffers permanent brain injury. Libby's parents, individually and on her behalf, sued the two drivers and their respective employers, alleging, among other claims, that the employers failed to perform appropriate background checks of the drivers-which would have revealed numerous citations for driving under the influence, reckless driving, and speeding-failed to have appropriate policies, procedures, and screening for the hiring and retention of truck drivers; and allowed unfit drivers to operate commercial tracks. The drivers also allegedly failed to maintain a proper lookout and failed to obey local, state, and federal laws involving the operation of a motor vehicle. <video:description>Dangerous Health Fraud in Corporate America Series. In the summer of 2005, Bausch & Lomb learned of serious eye infections caused by their ReNu with MoistureLoc contact lens solution. Approximately 6 months later they initiated recalls only in Hong Kong and Malaysia, continuing to sell the product in the U.S. until April 2006, completely disregarding the safety of U.S. consumers. Evidence later showed that they: cut corners in the design and testing of ReNu; lied to the FDA to gain their approval; switched the formulation of ReNu to get it to market quicker; and hid its February 2006 recall in Asia from U.S. regulatory agencies. As a result thousands of people were injured, including Elizabeth Poole who underwent painful and extensive surgeries and treatments, eventually losing her eye. This is her story and the story of how a major Fortune 500 company lied to the FDA and consumers all in the name of profit. Ken Wexler and Ed Wallace, partners at the law firm of Wexler Wallace LLP, join Elizabeth Poole and Debra Pritss, a registered nurse with Wexler Wallace LLP, to discuss this case and its impact on consumers. Ken Wexler devotes his practice to helping those whose rights have been denied or who have been victims of the unscrupulous or fraudulent actions of others, most often by more powerful entities. Founder of the firm that bears his name, Ken has been in leadership positions in cases with far-ranging subject matters, including brand name manufacturer suppression of competition from generic drugs, fraudulent and deceptive product overcharges, discrimination and harassment, corporate waste and mismanagement, cost recovery for defective medical devices, false advertising, and government fraud. Kens practice is devoted to complex class action and commercial litigation. Ed Wallace is a partner at the Chicago office of Wexler Wallace. He has seen the judicial system at work from both the plaintiffs and the defendants perspective. He has been asked to serve in prominent positions in numerous complex cases,...</video:description>

<video:title>U.S. Pet Food Recall</video:title>
<video:description>In 2006 and 2007, 60 million containers of 180 different brands of pet food and treats, produced by 12 different manufacturers, were recalled due to the intentional contamination of wheat gluten and rice protein imported from China by two Chinese Companies, Xuzhou Anying Biologic Technology Development Co. and Binzhou Futian Biological Technology. This was the largest recall of pet food in U.S. history and was initiated by the dominant manufacturer of dry dog and cat food, the Canadian Company, Menu Foods. The contaminated wheat gluten and rice protein were adulterated with melamine which, combined with cyanuric acid, can lead to acute renal failure if eaten by small animals. The two Chinese supply companies intentionally put melamine into wheat gluten and rice protein to deceive manufacturers and the public of their true protein content, resulting in the deaths of untold numbers of animals and putting at risk more than 100 Million pets in Americas households. This is the true story of this historic $24 Million dollar settlement for 23,000 claimants and how the loss of one familys pet and friend, Sahara, adversely affected the lives of one pet owner, Tracy Schlutter. Ken Wexler and Ed Wallace, partners at the law firm of Wexler Wallace LLP, join Tracy in recounting this powerful story.. <video:description>In this powerful TV documentary, Ken Wexler and Jennifer Connolly, partners at the law firm of Wexler Wallace LLP, expose the schemes of major pharmaceutical companies, AstraZeneca, TAP Pharmaceutical, Bristol-Myers Squibb and GlaxoSmithKline, who unethically and unscrupulously took advantage of the flawed Average Wholesale Price system for Medicare reimbursement to harm consumers, the government, insurers and patients for critically important, often life-sustaining drugs. Joining Ken and Jennifer to discuss these abuses by the pharmaceutical companies are Dan Ryan, a fund administrator for the United Food and Commercial Workers Unions and Employees Midwest Health and Pension Fund (UFCW); Cheryl Barecca, a cancer survivor and UFCW member; and Anna Choice, another cancer survivor and UFCW member.Wexler Wallace is dedicated to achieving positive change for consumers, employees, shareholders and special groups who have been injured by individuals or organizations through fraud, antitrust violations, unfair competition or other types of unlawful misconduct. <video:title>The Kristi Elliott Story - Story of Tragedy & Triumph</video:title>
<video:description>In 1986, Kristi Elliott was an all-star swimmer at Ohio State University (OSU). After leaving an OSU football game during her sophomore year, Kristi accidentally fell into OSU's Mirror Lake, striking a limestone planter and instantly rendering her a quadriplegic. Through the diligent, meticulous research of her attorney, John Alton, they discovered that OSU had been warned about the dangerous conditions posed by the planters as far back as the 1950s. After a long legal battle and two trials, OSU settled Kristi's lawsuit. Kristi went on to graduate college, become a champion of self-reliance, even challenging herself to feats like skydiving. This is Kristi's amazing story of tragedy, determination and courage. Joining Kristi are John Alton and her father-in-law Jim Montrella and her mother Bev Montrella.. John Alton of Alton & Barclay LLP has been recognized for his accomplishments in many ways, including certification as a civil trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, admission as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and selection as an Associate of the American Board of Trial Advocates. <video:description>In this in-depth TV Documentary, Andrew Entwistle, Managing Partner of Entwistle & Cappucci LLP; William Black, a former S&L regulator, best-selling author of The Best Way to Rob a Bank Is to Own One and Professor of Economics and Law at the University of Missouri - Kansas City; and Norb Vonnegut, a Wall Street insider and author of Top Producer... explain Wall Street's Engine of Doom and its Financial meltdown. Andrew and his distinguished guests show us how Wall Street insiders wrecked the global economy, destroyed the American Dream and enriched themselves at the expense of the taxpayer. Far more than an attack against our financial system, the Wall Street insiders responsible for this catastrophe have waged a massive power grab that threatens to undermine our government. With virtually no oversight and billions of dollars having seemingly vanished, the United States is on the brink of going bankrupt - while bankers reap huge bonuses and have Congress take ownership of one failing business after another, from General Motors to Chrysler to AIG. Unless immediate action is taken, we risk sacrificing our solvency and influence as a great power. Andrew Entwistle is the Managing Partner of Entwistle & Cappucci LLP. Andrew's practice principally involves the representation of public and private institutional investors in complex litigation and corporate finance and transactional matters. Over the years, Andrew has represented clients including Fortune 100 companies, public and private institutional investors, governmental and individual clients in a variety of corporate finance, and transactional matters and in complex business, securities, antitrust and bankruptcy litigation throughout the United States before federal and state courts, surrogate's and probate courts, grand juries, administrative and regulatory agencies and arbitration panels. <video:title>Bernie Madoff Legal Scandal</video:title>
<video:description>Inside the Legal Maze of the Bernie Madoff Scandal & the Strategies to Uncover Madoff's Money Trail In this in-depth interview, Andrew Entwistle, Managing Partner of Entwistle & Cappucci LLP, examines all the avenues of the Bernard Madoff scandal. Joining Andrew to discuss this issue are Wall Street insider and author, Norb Vonnegut, and New York Daily News staff journalist Larry McShane. Entwistle & Cappucci LLP seeks to help investors recover funds invested through various Madoff "feeder funds" established and run by Tremont Group Holdings, Inc. and Tremont Partners, Inc. Tremont's alleged failures to conduct adequate due diligence of Madoff's investment operations constitute a potential breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contract. Additionally, the complaint filed by Entwistle & Cappucci LLP asserts claims for unjust enrichment and aiding and abetting Tremont's fiduciary duty breaches against companies affiliated with Tremont, such as Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, MassMutual Holding Company, Oppenheimer Acquisition Corp., and OppenheimerFunds, Inc. Norb Vonnegut is a Wall Street insider, author and former wealth adviser who evaluated investment opportunities for clients. His many columns about the Madoff scandal educated readers about the enormity of Madoff's crimes and the fallout among investors. A graduate of Harvard College and the Harvard Business School, Norb is also the author of Top Producer, a story about Wall Street hi-jinks gone fatal. Larry McShane is an acclaimed reporter who has written extensively about the Madoff scandal, providing the public with breaking news and insightful analysis about Madoff's many criminal acts. A former journalist for the Associated Press, Larry is also the author of Cops Under Fire, a gripping account of police officers who have had to use their weapons in the line of duty. <video:title>What's Wrong with the American Financial System?</video:title>
<video:description>In this in-depth interview, Andrew Entwistle, Managing Partner of Entwistle & Cappucci LLP; William Black, a former S&L regulator, best-selling author of The Best Way to Rob a Bank Is to Own One and Professor of Economics and Law at the University of Missouri - Kansas City; and Steve Murphy, Host and Producer of the Insider Exclusive, analyze what's wrong with the American financial system.. Andrew, Professor Black and Steve expose how the collapse of government regulation creates an environment for bankers and executives to act with impunity. But it was more than greed and incompetence that hurt our financial system - it was fraud. By creating triple-A rated bonds out of ¡°liars' loans¡± - loans without verifying income, assets or employment - the federal government and the banking system set the stage for disaster in the real estate market and the broader economy. This drastic reduction in regulation is now responsible for the biggest banking crisis since the Great Depression. Andrew, Professor Black and Steve get to the heart of these financial shenanigans, and reveal the cost of governmental indifference.. William Black is a former S&L regulator, best-selling author of The Best Way to Rob a Bank Is to Own One and Professor of Economics and Law at the University of Missouri - Kansas City. He was the Executive Director of the Institute for Fraud Prevention from 2005-2007. He has taught previously at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin and at Santa Clara University, where he was also the distinguished scholar in residence for insurance law and a visiting scholar at the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics. <video:title>Investors Injustice</video:title>
<video:description>In 2006, USA Commercial Mortgage, a direct real estate lender financed by 3,000 investors whose investments were secured by property deeds, filed for bankruptcy. U.S. District Court Judge Robert C. Jones denied standing to all 3,000 lenders/investors, thereby wiping out their secured $600 million in assets. Donna Cangelosi, the secured property lenders’ spokesperson, discovered that USA had engaged in a series of nefarious activities in a Ponzi-like backend scheme. Judge Jones has continuously refused to hear Donna’s group’s petitions and has threatened legal action against her and the 3,000 investors. William Cohan, a legal adviser to Donna’s group, sought to have Judge Jones’s ruling overturned by the 9th Circuit. This is the true story of how 3,000 investors are being denied justice.. 858-832-1632 www.williamacohan.com You can contact William A. <video:title>Gerry Spence - Winning Courtroom Strategies.</video:title>
<video:description>GERRY SPENCE'S WINNING COURTROOM STRATEGIES - Every lawyer in America admires Gerry Spence’s courtroom victories, and many of them come to Thunderhead Ranch in Wyoming to learn his strategies. The evolution of this legal legend can be traced to Gerry’s courtroom victories and his best-selling books. He has more multi-million dollar verdicts without an intervening loss than any other lawyer in the United States. Gerry HAS NEVER lost a criminal case in the more than 50 years he has practiced law. And he has not lost a jury trial since 1969. In this interview, Gerry shares a lifetime of experience teaching you how to win in any arena – the courtroom, the boardroom, the sales call, the salary review, the town council meeting – every venue where a case is to be made against adversaries who oppose the justice you seek. He shows both lawyers and laypersons how to win cases as he goes step by step through the elements of a trial – from jury selection, to the opening statement, the presentation of witnesses, their cross-examinations, and finally to the closing argument itself. These 9 Winning Steps include: 1. What Is The Power to Win? 2. The Winning Strategies 3. Discovering the Story 4. Discovering the Story through Psychodrama 5. Voir Dire 6. The Opening Statement 7. Telling the Story through Witnesses 8. Exposing the Hidden Truth 9. Closing the Deal Gerry Spence has tried and won many nationally known cases, including the Karen Silkwood case (a movie was made of the case with Meryl Streep and Cher), the defense of Randy Weaver at Ruby Ridge, the defense of Imelda Marcos, the case against “Penthouse Magazine” for Miss Wyoming and the murder defenses of Ed Cantrell and Sandy Jones. In 2008 in a politically charged case brought by the Justice Department in Michigan against attorney Geoffrey Fieger, Gerry won complete acquittals for his client on a ten-count indictment alleging federal campaign contribution violations, conspiracy and obstruction of justice. /nYou can contact Gerry Spence at 800-967-2117,...</video:description>

<video:description>GERRY SPENCE: LEGENDARY LAWYER FOR TRUTH & JUSTICE - Gerry Spence is among a handful of great American lawyers who have successfully fought for truth and justice against all odds in the legal arena. In this interview at his Thunderbird Ranch in Wyoming, Gerry discusses the lessons he learned as a young man that defined his youth and fueled his lifelong pursuit of justice. He talks about the single most tragic event of his life, the death of his mother, and how it transformed him and allowed him to become sensitive to the feelings of society’s castoffs and prepared him to be a trial lawyer. And he discusses how the frontier and land of Wyoming shaped his life and philosophy. Gerry joins a distinguished group of other American lawyers who dedicated their lives to seeking justice as well as representing the innocent and the damned:  Patrick Henry (1736-1799), member of the Continental Congress and Governor of Virginia  John Jay (1745-1829), first Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court  John Marshall (1755-1835), Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court  Daniel Webster (1782-1852), US Secretary of State  Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865), President  Stephen Douglas (1813-1861), US Representative and Senator, from Illinois  Clarence Darrow (1857-1938), defense attorney in the Scopes trial of 1925  Thurgood Marshall (1908-1993), Associate Justice of the US Supreme Court and lead attorney in Brown v. <video:title>Ford's Deadly Truck Defects</video:title>
<video:description>Gerry Spence - Ford's Deadly Truck Defects. On July 26, 2003, at approximately 3:45 in the afternoon, Christopher Allison and his family were driving back to Pocatello, Idaho, from their family vacation in Washington. Christopher was driving a 1999 Ford Expedition and towing a 19-foot camp trailer. Another driver, Daniel Torrez, approached the Allisons’ from behind. Torrez fell asleep at the wheel, drove into the center median, ricocheted off that into the Allisons’ trailer, causing the trailer to jackknife and the Expedition to slide counterclockwise into the left lane. The Expedition slid off the road, overturned several times, ejecting three of the family members, crushing and killing Christopher and injuring all of the Allison family. Torrez and his passenger were not injured. Today, The Insider Exclusive will show you how the Allisons’ lawyers, Robert Krause and Emily Rankin of the Spence Law Firm, took on Ford Motor Company and successfully sued them for defective product design (door latch and component system, occupant restraint system, window glazing, roof structure) and got justice for the Allison family. <video:title>Oil and Gas Explosion Trial Attorneys.</video:title>
<video:description>Oil and Gas Explosion Trial Attorneys: Melton v. EnCana Oil & Gas. Kent Spence – The Spence Law FirmOn July 11, 2004, Mike Melton, an employee of Riley Industrial Services, a gas tank cleaning services company, was cleaning a “drain sump tank,” the toxic waste catch basin at EnCana’s natural gas plant near Moab, Utah, when an explosion occurred, as a result of EnCana’s violation of OSHA’s requirements to properly “lock out” and “tag” gas valves before opening the tanks. The Insider Exclusive will show proof of how EnCana falsely filed the OSHA permit, claiming that the “lock out/tag out” had occurred when it had not. As a result, Mike Melton suffered severe burns on his hands, wrists, and around his face, burning his ears, neck and hair (30% hearing loss). Mike has also developed an extreme case of CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) in his hands and arms. He now can’t use his hands in any type of work. The Insider Exclusive will show you how Mike’s lawyer, Kent Spence, took on EnCana and Mike’s former employer when they tried to blame Mike for their mistakes. The jury found EnCana 100% responsible, and after Kent Spence asked the jury for $21 million actual damages and $100 million in punitive damages, EnCana made a last ditch effort to avoid financial catastrophe with a final offer outside the courtroom doors. Kent W. Spence is a third generation Wyomingite who was born and raised in Riverton, Wyoming. Kent was a carpenter until he was age 24 when he went to University of Montana and received his undergraduate degree in Philosophy in 1982. He received his law degree from Mercer University, Walter F. George School of Law in Macon, Georgia in 1986. Thereafter Kent worked at The Spence Law Firm, LLC and has been a partner in the firm since 1995. He is a trial lawyer specializing in personal injury, wrongful death, civil rights and criminal defense. He has had numerous multi-million dollar settlements and jury trial verdicts, in oil field and construction injury, wrongful death,...</video:description>

<video:description>Chrysler Deaths: Flax v. DaimlerChrysler/nOn November 11, 2004, a Nashville, Tennessee, jury returned a verdict of $105.5 million against the DaimlerChrysler Corporation, finding the seatbacks in Chrysler minivans were unsafe, defective and unreasonably dangerous. The case involved injuries to and the death of an 8-month-old child, Joshua Flax, in the rear-end collision which occurred in Davidson County, Tennessee, on June 30, 2001. Joshua was fatally injured when his grandfather’s 1998 Dodge Caravan minivan was hit in the rear. <video:title>Time Warner Loses $454 Million Case.</video:title>
<video:description>Time Warner’s $454 Million Breach of Fiduciary Duty: Six Flags Over Georgia v. Time Warner Entertainment, Inc. Six Flags Over Georgia, featuring Batman: The Ride, is one of America’s favorite playgrounds. But for 5 long years it reflected one of America’s most historic courtroom battlegrounds, pitting a small group of investor/owners in a David vs. Goliath struggle against the group’s managing partner, one of the nation’s most powerful entertainment companies: The Time Warner Entertainment Affiliates! And even when Time Warner’s Vice Chairman, Ted Turner, took the witness stand to plead for leniency . . . he didn’t sway the jury one bit! The Insider Exclusive will show how Jim Butler and George Fryhofer, partners at the law firm of Butler, Wooten Fryhofer, took on this Goliath (Time Warner) in one of the longest and biggest roller coaster rides in American legal history. And The Insider Exclusive will also show how the Time Warner Affiliates took the Six Flags owners for a big ride, stalling them, overcharging them and then systematically cheating them. This case went all the way from a little ole Georgia courthouse through the legal maze of the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, then on to the United State Supreme Court and back again for another round . . . until final victory with a record $454 million verdict that when paid with interest exceeded $626 million!/nJim Butler worked as a newspaper reporter from the age of 15 until graduation from college, was active in politics, and then owned a construction company in Cumming, Georgia before starting law school. He started his career handling business tort cases, some of which resulted in important decisions by the Georgia appellate courts dealing with tortious interference with contract, conversion, and wrongful deprivation of the use of property. He has tried over 150 civil cases to verdict, and has won numerous verdicts over $100 million, over $10 million, and over $1 million in several states. He has set the record for...</video:description>
